“Orientamento sessuale e identità di genere. Immigrazione e accoglienza – Sexual orientation and gender identity. Immigration and reception” is a book that is a research on the condition of Lgbtiq refugees in Italy.
Starting from the analysis of the rules that criminalize homosexual behavior in the countries from which the largest flows of asylum seekers come from across the Mediterranean, the text illustrates the condition of a part of the Italian LGBTI community that is the most vulnerable, that is the immigrant one. Intersectionality, or the overlapping of different social identities and their possible particular discrimination, is the lens through which it is intended to make it visible.
