Sunday 14 February at the Oasis was a really beautiful day, very cold but sunny. About ten people responded to our invitation, and they worked hard to collect a considerable amount of waste and litter transported to the beach by the strong storms of the previous days.

We have managed to separate the waste from the plant material deposited on the beach and we have secured the wooden material such as platforms and parts of beach structures on the dune.

In the end, the “harvest” yielded a dozen large bags of waste.

Some couples who, unaware of our initiative, were there for a romantic walk on the beach on Valentine’s Day also gave us a hand: after all, was it a “Collection for love” or not?
